Adopt an Abandoned Senior This Holiday Season

For many years, our firm has worked with local nursing homes to support seniors who have no family visitors, no holiday gifts, and often no one in their lives to show them they are remembered. Every year, the need is much greater than we can do on our own.

This year, we have approximately 60 “abandoned” seniors across five facilities who would otherwise go without anything this holiday season. We’re asking for your help to make sure every single one of these seniors receives a gift.

Please ensure our office receives any donations by December 15.  Thank you!

How You Can Help

1. Let us shop for you

If you are short on time and would like us to use your monetary donation to ensure the need is met, please send a check to the office, or send a Venmo to Nicole directly @Nicole-Wipp. Please note 'Adopt a Senior' in the Venmo memo. All donated funds will be used to purchase gifts and necessities for seniors who have not yet been adopted.

2. Purchase gifts and bring them to the office

Please call before you come to the office to make sure someone is here! (248)278-1511

3. Purchase gifts and have them shipped directly to the office

Family & Aging Law Center, 1100 Corporate Office Dr., Suite 340, Milford, MI 48381

4. Holiday Cards - Make some holiday cards, have your classroom make cards, or get a group together to make some!  We love including these.

What Should You Buy?

It would be really helpful, if you would like to adopt a specific person, for you to sign up for them on our "Signup Genius".  Here's the link: Adopt a Senior Signup Genius

If you don't want to use Signup Genius, please call Jenn at (248)278-1511 and let her know who you are going to adopt.

Why This Matters

Many seniors in long-term care facilities experience deep loneliness — especially during the holidays. A small gift, a cozy blanket, or even a favorite snack can remind them that they are valued and not forgotten. Your generosity can bring comfort, dignity, and joy to someone who truly needs it.
